SIRE’s 2022 Rewind

As the year comes to an end, we’d like to look back on what we’ve achieved and accomplished in 2022. It has been a successful year, and we look forward to what 2023 has in store for SIRE.

Adjusting to life after lockdown.

The impact of COVID-19 and other worldly events generated supply issues with all our vendors. Primarily the supply of physical stock due to the global chipset shortages and the current energy crisis, compounded by Brexit adjustments and the lack of transportation drivers, throughout the last 24 months lead to a very challenging year for both SIRE and our customers

2022 started with our procurement team working hard with all vendors and suppliers to ensure customer orders were met. Continuously evaluating stock limitations to avoid delay and disruption, we began to restore a sense of normality which helped set the pace and our customer expectations for the rest of the year.

A new SIRE.

At the beginning of the year, it was identified that it was time to align our brand to reflect the strength of our experience, expertise and our partnerships, whilst also staying true to our purpose. Understanding that technology does not stand still, we concluded that a new look was necessary. In doing so, we launched our improved website, which reflected our products and services, core values and why our partnership is so valued by our clients.

As stated by Russell Cook, and evident throughout this year, “SIRE’s product roadmap and service offerings are designed to deliver businesses the ultimate flexibility and security.”

Skylight Summit 2022.

Accedian is our first UK partner to launch Skylight Interceptor as part of Pulse360, our performance and security monitoring platform. In May, they invited Russell Cook to present at Skylight Summit and discuss his experience and expertise in the industry. With help from Matthew Raymond of Trailfinders’, they discussed how industry challenges can be addressed using the Skylight toolkit

DELL UK Partner Awards.

John Leah and Russell Cook were grateful to have been formally invited to the DELL UK Partner Awards in July at The Savoy, London. This was an exciting event as it was the first in-person event in three years.

Co-hosted by Dayne Turbitt, UK Senior Vice President and General Manager for Dell Technologies, John and Russell enjoyed hearing the speakers and attending the seminars to learn  about future landscapes and technologies.

Pulse360 Launch Experience.

After a delay of over 2 years due to Covid, on 20th October, SIRE hosted the Pulse360 Launch Experience at Brooklands Museum to discuss how the Pulse360 suite addresses the challenges of security, data protection, cybersecurity and infrastructure performance. With help from our partners Invicti, Accedian, SonicWall, RightCue Assurance, and Macbeth Financial Services, we discussed the landscape of cyber threats, cybersecurity, cyber insurance, performance assurance and the introduction of technologies including AI and machine learning within these environments

Alexander Devine Santa Dash 2022.

On 27th November, some of the more energetic members of the SIRE team took part in the Alexander Devine Santa Dash, in Windsor. Starting at Bachelors Acre, 540 Santas  walked to the top of the Long Walk, where we were met by the Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle, and then walked and jogged through the streets of Windsor for 5 kilometers. With the other participants, we helped to raise £24k for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make 2022 an enjoyable year at SIRE. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
